My hope in forming TMMT is that a shared "identity" will help us to feel more like a team, to communicate more effectively, and to work toward common goals that benefit the Trinity family more frequently. Please, become a part of this blog, as we all seek to serve the Lord by serving Trinity!

Thanks to Megan and Charlie; Seeking Your Input

Hi! Thanks to Megan for filling-in as computer technician, and to Charlie for filling-in as the audio technician this morning. Everything went well, other than ignoring two alarm clocks this morning! Today we started what may become a new norm: playing a CD during Communion. Let me know what you think, those of you who were here. So far, feedback has been positive, and so I think we will try it for the rest of the summer. I am looking for ideas for song to play, so, please think about it and give me your input. Songs need to be at least 3:30 in length. If you have uptempo favorites, it is possible we can use them in the future during the offering time.

While I'm thinking about it . . . Please, use only first names on any of the Trinity Blogs. They are all open to the whole wide world, and I don't want to invite privacy issues.

Guidelines for Creating Worship Music Visuals 1.0 Completed

This morning I finished typing a set of guidelines for creating worship music visuals so that we could have a hardcopy in our hands as we move toward "being on the same page". I will probably continue to do some editing f these guidelines between now and Sunday, and will have copies for all of you at that time. Hopefully, we can all get together soon, and expand and refine this document. Although I feel overseeing the worship music visuals is one of my more important responsibilities, I really do welcome and appreciate your input. Many aspects of our mutual endeavor can be rather subjective, and so I may not necessarily agree with you on every point. In such cases, I hope to be able to explain my view with more than just "gut feelings"; I hope to be able show through internet and other sources the reasons I think the way I do.

Again, thank you all so much for your input and assistance, week after week! And, my thanks to Adam who, at this very moment, is entering this weekend's information for our worship services.

Here We Go - - First Post!

Today is Wednesday, June 10, 2009, and this is the first official post of the Trinity Media Ministry Team blog. I hope to start each day with a post containing something insightful, (I hope!), and anyone can simply post a comment to the day. I hope to check this blog at least every 24 hours. If you have questions or comments, as noted in the introduction at the top of the page, please record them here. Every Saturday night or Sunday morning I will be reviewing the MediaShout and Powerpoint scripts for that morning. The visual presentation of worship elements is one of the most critical aspects of the worship experience Trinity, and I have been asked by Pastor Dave to provide staff support and supervision for their preparation and implementation. When things go awry, I will accept the responsibility, and I will not blame any of the volunteers who are working under my supervision, but I will do what I can to troubleshoot the problem, and avoid it in the future. I appreciate each and every one of you . . . Adam, Amanda, Brian, Margy, Rob, Sara, Seth, and Zach . . . and I want to do what I can to make your volunteer work easier and more rewarding.
